Applications:
• Tetrabutyl ammonium iodide can be used as phase transfer catalyst, it can increase the reaction rate or effectively promote various chemical reactions. This reagent can serve as an iodine source to generate the necessary iodide for the reaction in situ, avoiding the use of unstable and expensive iodides.
• Tetrabutylammonium iodide can also be used for dealkylation reactions of esters and ethers.
• Tetra-n-butylammonium iodide can be used as polarographic analysis reagents.
