1. Reagents and Solutions

Acetonitrile: HPLC grade

Water: Ultra pure water

 

2. Instruments

Liquid chromatograph: UV detector with variable wavelength

chromatographic column: 150mm×4.6mm×5µm Kromasil C18

Microinjector: 50 μL

 

3. Operating conditions of liquid chromatography

Mobile phase: Acetonitrile+Water=60+40 (Volume ratio);

Rate of flow: 1.0ml/min;

Column temperature: 40℃;

Detection wavelength: 254nm;

Injection volume: 20μL

Retention time: Dibenzo 18-Crown-6 about 4min;

Quantitative method: Area percentage method.

 

4. Determination steps

 

4.1 Calculation

Assay of Dibenzo 18-Crown-6 Xi (%), calculate as formula:

 

Xi%=

Ai×100%

∑Ai

 In formula:

Xi: Percentage content of Dibenzo 18-Crown-6;

Ai: Peak area of Dibenzo 18-Crown-6;

∑Ai: Sum of chromatographic peak areas in sample solution.

 

4.2 Allowable difference

The difference between the two parallel determinations results should not exceed 0.50%, taking the arithmetic mean as the determination result.
